What we collect and why

Two things and nothing else: what you type into the enquiry form, and statistics about which pages get read. You can go through the whole catalogue without leaving anything behind — there are no accounts here, nothing is sold here, and we sell no data on.

The enquiry form

When you send a question from the contact page or from a product page, we store what you wrote:

  • your name and surname;
  • your email address;
  • your phone number, if you gave one — it is optional;
  • the question itself;
  • the product whose page the question came from, and the language of that page, so the answer is about the right material and in the right language.

The enquiry stays in this site's admin and is emailed to the shop's inbox. The legal basis is your own request: without this data the question cannot be answered at all.

So the form cannot be used to send spam, your IP address is held in the server's memory for ten minutes and then forgotten. It never reaches the database.

Statistics and cookies

The site uses Google Analytics to see how many people arrive and which pages they read. What matters to us is the total, not any one person.

Until you answer the question at the bottom of the page, Google Analytics runs without cookies: no identifier is written to or read from your browser, and the visit goes into the total and nothing else. If you agree, analytics storage is switched on and only that. Advertising cookies stay off either way — there is no advertising system on this site at all.

There is no automated decision-making and no profiling here.

What your browser stores

NameWhat it isWhat forHow long
itd-consentbrowser storage (localStorage)your answer to the cookie questionuntil you clear it
itd-introsession storage (sessionStorage)a mark that the opening animation has played in this tabuntil the tab closes
_ga, _ga_*cookieGoogle Analytics — only after you agreeup to two years

The first two are not cookies and are sent nowhere — they stay in your browser. The site works without them, but the cookie question would come back on every page.

Who else sees it

  • Google Ireland Limited and Google LLC — statistics, and only statistics. The data may be processed outside the European Union on the basis of the European Commission’s adequacy decision.
  • The email provider that delivers the enquiry to the shop's inbox.
  • The host of the server this site and its database run on.

Nobody else. We do not sell data and do not pass it to advertising.

How long we keep it

An enquiry is kept while the conversation is going on, and for 2 years after it — so we can find what it was about if you come back. Then it is deleted.

Google keeps the statistics according to that property’s own settings. There is nothing in them by which you could be found there.

Your rights

Over your own data you have the right to:

  • find out what is stored about you, and get a copy;
  • correct anything inaccurate;
  • ask for it to be deleted;
  • restrict the processing, or object to it;
  • receive your data in a form you can take elsewhere;
  • withdraw your consent to statistics at any time.

Writing to the address in the controller section above is enough. If our answer does not satisfy you, you can complain to the Latvian Data State Inspectorate — dvi.gov.lv.

Withdrawing consent

Your answer is stored in your own browser under the name itd-consent. Clear this site's browser data and the question will be asked again — and until you answer it, analytics is back to running without cookies.

Withdrawal applies going forward. What has already gone into the total cannot be taken back out of it, because there is nothing in there by which to find you.

Changes

If this policy changes, so does the date at the top of the page. We do not keep earlier versions separately.
