Description
CONCRET_ART is a decorative coating for interiors that gives surfaces the strong character and sense of solidity typical of fair-face concrete.
Adaptable to different application techniques, CONCRET_ART allows you to achieve a variety of effects, ranging from a minimalist, uniform finish to a delicately aged appearance. With its strong material identity, it enhances modern interiors while blending harmoniously with more classic styles.
CONCRET_ART gives surfaces the appearance and tactile effect of naturally aged concrete, creating contemporary spaces with a refined metropolitan atmosphere.
CONCRET_ART can be applied to new or previously painted surfaces, plasters, as well as wooden, plaster and gypsumboard substrates, and walls covered with thermal insulation systems. Recommended for residential and commercial use, it ensures excellent performance and is ideal for customizing design interiors, lofts and modern architectural spaces.
The special formulation of CONCRET_ART ensures high surface hardness and good breathability, providing treated surfaces with long-lasting aesthetic quality.
CONCRET_ART is available in a wide range of palette colours, including light, medium and dark shades.
When the work is finished, clean the tools with water.
Use in accordance with current health and safety regulations (wear a face mask and ensure adequate ventilation).
Application
- Suitable substrates
For interior surfaces:
New and old plaster with water-based binders. Concrete surfaces. Plaster and gypsumboard surfaces. Surfaces with old paint or coatings of mineral or organic origin, provided they are dry, sound, absorbent, and firmly bonded to the substrate. Various mineral-based building compounds, provided that they are absorbent. Wooden surfaces, chipboard, plywood, and similar materials. For exterior surfaces:
Surfaces with thermal insulation systems for the creation of insulated façades. New or old plaster based on water-soluble binders. Concrete surfaces. Old organic or mineral-based paint and coatings, provided they are dry, sound, absorbent, and firmly bonded to the substrate. Various mineral-based building compounds, provided that they are absorbent. The surfaces must be properly prepared in accordance with the “Surface Preparation” section.
Do not apply to damp or insufficiently dried surfaces, or to surfaces with a high alkali content. Allow sufficient time for the substrate to fully cure, which is generally approximately 4 weeks.
- Tools
Steel trowel for levelling the surface.
- Number of coats
1–2 coats, depending on the desired aesthetic effect. Application on interior surfaces — FORMWORK EFFECT Apply the first coat of CONCRET_ART with a steel trowel. While the surface is still wet, use a rubber applicator mould to create a wood-grain effect. Once the first coat has dried, apply a second, thinner coat of CONCRET_ART with a steel trowel to achieve the final polished finish.
- Temperature and humidity
Ambient temperature: Min. +8°C / Max. +35°C Relative humidity: <75% Surface temperature: Min. +5°C / Max. +35°C Surface moisture content: <10%
- Drying time
Drying time (at +25°C and 65% relative humidity): surface dry after 30 minutes; re-coating after 6 hours (depending on the thickness of the applied coating).
